Spiral Mountain
Spiral Mountain: Now What?

Here we are - after a short cinematic, your adventure is quickly unfolded before you. Welcome to Spiral Mountain. There's not much to accomplish here, but if you're unfamiliar with the game's basic control setup, this will become an adequate training ground, where you will be able to get a brief analysis of your abilities from your friendly neighborhood mole, Bottles. If needed, his mole hills can be found--six in total--spread out around the area; they're not hard to locate, so go on and scout them out if needed.
(Note: You can obtain an extra life by going around to the side of Banjo's house and using the garbage cans to flap flip onto the roof. The extra life is hovering above the chimney.)

In addition, there are also six hollow honeycombs scattered around the turf, waiting to be collected; you'll receive a life bar extension for every six you do assemble, so taking time to search for and collect these is going to be very beneficial to you in the long run. (No worries, unlike the Spiral Mountain molehills, I'll actually tell you where these things are.) The locations of the first six are as follows:
(1) Head from your starting point, and take a left - you should see a cluster of stumps resting in a hollowed area, with an empty honeycomb near the back, placed on the tallest one; a simple flap and flip should boost you up there.
(2) Keep moving left, taking notice to the trees around you. The tree near the bridge should have honeycomb number two hovering a few feet above it.

Climb up the trunk and perform another flap flip to grab it.
(3) After that, sweep along the wall nearby, heading towards the green platforms by the waterfall. Perform a few feathery flaps, moving yourself across the platforms, to collect another honeycomb, bringing your total up to three.
(While you're here, there is also an extra life shining in a small alcove behind the waterfall. Stand on the farthest of the green platforms, and perform a double jump to reach it.) (4) Jump down into the water and ride downstream until you come to a stop in the Spiral Mountain pond. Swim around until you're under the walkway, and you should see another honeycomb in a tight space under the water. Dive down there and grab it, if you're so inclined.
(5) Jump out of the pond and you should see another enclosed area close by, hoarding some googily-eyed rocks. Take 'em all out with the beak barge; the final one will leave you with your fifth honeycomb.
(6) Finally, head on over to Banjo's garden located near his house and destroy the floating Colliwobble enemy with your rat-a-tat-rap to collect Spiral Mountain's final extra honeycomb piece.
When ready, climb up the mountain, converse with Bottles for a moment, and enter the lair--don't let the eerie music frighten you, this is where your adventure begins. Embrace it. Enjoy it. Just do it.
In the Lair...

Welcome to the central-hub that will be connecting every new environment you encounter throughout your adventure. Now that you're here, there's a simple task to complete before you can jump into the first world of the game: Collect the puzzle piece at the top of the platforms to your left upon entering. Once done, place it in the nearby puzzle (take a right, and then another right from the door you entered through) to complete the picture and open up Mumbo's Mountain.
As you advance through Gruntilda's Lair in pursuit of Tooty, you'll come across more puzzles like the Mumbo's Mountain one, each missing a varying number of puzzle peices; obviously, the number will begin to steadily increase as you advance. In addition to these puzzles, something else that you'll encounter are Note Doors. Note Doors will be placed in certain rooms throughout the lair, and will require a certain amount of notes before you can pass through. There are 100 notes present in each of the nine worlds you encounter in the game, so be sure to collect as many as you can.
