To whom it may concern: I am, sadly, going to close Banjo Universe for now; whether that will be temporary or permanent is not known at the moment. I would like to thank those of you who have continued to visit and have posted on the forums, and I would also like to thank Greendrag and Fish Paste for their continued help and support on various aspects concerning the website. I will leave the site to remain as is, and will still touch in every so often to visit the forums, but will no longer be updating at all (the fact that that has already appeared to have happened should give you enough insight as to why I am making this announcement). I have thoroughly enjoyed the time I have spent working on the site for the nearly two years that it has been online, and will hopefully return to it someday with a much greater ambition and enough knowledge to readily create something truly unique. Until that time, goodbye, and thanks again for everything, everyone.

Yes, it's Sunday, and you know what that means: two updates in one month, baby - that's got to be a new record. But that's what we're all about here - breaking records, etc. Oh yeah. But anyway, now that that's out of the way, let's take a look at what I really wanted to say here:

Nothing fancy, nothing big, but if you head on over to the Banjo-Kazooie page, you'll see that I've started working on the B-K Guide that I said I would do a while back - I've got up to Treasure Trove Cove completed, and I think it's going relatively well. You should totally check it out and let me know what you think. Comments are appreciated (they seriously are; that's why I say this, yo). Anyway, that's all I have for right now, so... enjoy, and stuff.

Whud up, guys. I got up today and decided to make a few calibrations here and there, yo. They're nothing major - a simple tweak here, an improvement there (not including any major screw-ups, or course). I wasn't going for anything specific, other than making the edges a little less... hideous, and I feel I accomplished that. So... s'about it for this, I s'pose.

Now onto the second thing I wanted to say: I've begun work on the Nuts and Bolts page, since I know the demand for that has been so monumentally high around here (seriously, give it a rest, guys). See? I'm not hopelessly indolent, now am I? And someday, I'll take great satisfaction in laughing in the faces of all who have mocked me. But not today, because... well, I'm still the underdog in this encounter. But, anyway, I guess I'll leave on that note. Stay strong.

PS: I spent about 5-10 minutes on those forums (rush job), so there may be some mistakes and what we like to refer to as unseen omissions. Any such errors might not necessarily be forum-exclusive, either. If you encounter any such oversights, by all means, let me know.

Er... well, I guess you can't really smell them, per se, but you can survey them, therefore my query stands. Really, though, smell/survey, does it matter? They both start with S, so who cares?

Ahem, anyway, I finally got off of my butt – well, technically on my butt, really – and spattered some new paint on the walls. It's not perfect, sure, but that's because I'm not totally done yet. Just be sure not to touch anything, and maybe the masking tape will continue to hold out. Maybe.

Now, um...*scratches head*... I feel like I'm forgetting something. Oh, right! To-do-list: Write/publish content on site. Okie dokie, folks, I was hoping to have more of this done by now, but these things take time you see – and look, there it is right at the top of the list. Okay, enough of that. Again, Happy New Year!

I should near completion hopefully somewhere in the vicinity of Christmas, if you were wondering. That depends on my overall schedule though, and I still have quite a bit to do, so don't hold me to that estimate.

If you still don't get it and need some direct clarification, I'm talking about the Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts release - and am referring to the countdown timer that I've nicely implemented above. The wait is nearly done with, and here I am having yet to preorder the game - I'm really running out of time, too. That's pretty bad, but oh well.

Also, I changed the poll finally. Scroll down - it's at the bottom of the right column. You should probably be able to see it from here anyway; if so, then ignore what I just said, stop reading this and go vote in it. Exciting moment of the month, I know.

That's not the real defining moment, though; the real defining moment will be when I remember to change this horrid font - unless you like it, which is weird because I think it's ugly. Does anyone agree with me? And, yes, I'm aware that this news article is random and a waste of time - sorry. I'll try to do something that doesn't suck later.

At the current state, it appears that the forum is the only thing breathing any sign of life into this site, which would be correct; so, right now, if you are a guest or currently a member and want to help boost the liveliness of our forums, then I encourage you to sign up or log in and post as much as you see fit. If anyone wants to go a step further and help with maintaining and updating when I am unable to, contact me and I will get in touch with you.

The forums are back open. The reason for the closure was because I was upgrading to 1.4. It wasn't a smooth transition like I had hoped for either, the old theme I had created numerous problems all over place.

So, after trying to update the old theme, I figured it would probably be easier to just download and edit a new one specifically designed for 1.4, but of course, they only had about 15 themes or so (most all the same, just different colors). I was a bit distraught over that, but I downloaded one anyway.

Well, after some heavy editing I was able to turn this into a replica of the old theme. Thankfully I was able to do so with only generating minor differences. Please note: some things may still look 'bad' in some places because I'm not done editing it yet... I didn't want to keep you locked out of the forum though. If you see anything you don't like, then make a reply here and I'll try to change it.

Most of my main plugins I use are still here, thankfully. However, the shoutbox is disabled for now; I'll have it back up in the next day or so. Anyway, express your (I don't care if it's forced) joy.

Hold tight while I finish modifying a few things such as the welcome_block, because I don't really like it. You can gaze at the new smilies while I do that. I just have to get rid of this white around them though.

We have a new addition to the site today - Game Reviews! I've been meaning to add something like this for a while now, but never got around to it.

Anyway, I'll be posting some reviews there when I find time to write one. To start it off, I've added a Grabbed by the Ghoulies review written by yours truly - you can find it right here. Any user who would like to submit a review can do so (that'd be great).

That's all for now ...

(By the way, I'm trying to make the site and forum match better; let me know if the changes I made are ugly...)
